Her Majesty the Queen is about to make waves on her very own Netflix show dropping on May 4th! Plus, NYC is the next city to partake in the stunning Bridgerton Experience with interactive surprises, set recreations, delicious cocktails, and more!

The Ton is abuzz as there is much excitement in the air with lots of Bridgerton news. As millions of adoring fans are patiently (or not so patiently!) waiting for Season 3 to drop, a new spin-off show is coming to Netflix this May. Golda Rosheuvel, who plays the beloved Queen Charlotte character, has inspired a new series entirely, according to Shondaland.

Yes, Her Majesty The Queen is getting her own spin-off, and rightfully so, with the success of the original Shondaland series! With her witty remarks and glaring looks, we—along with millions of adoring Bridgerton fans—are left wanting to learn more about the Queen, and Executive Producer/Creator Shonda Rhimes has delivered. The new show, written by Rhimes, will uncover intriguing early backstories and focus on the rise and love life of the fascinating Queen Charlotte and other leading ladies we have come to know and love from the beloved series, including a young Violet Bridgerton and Lady Danbury.

We tuned in during the exclusive live ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’ virtual sneak peek event from our own tea rooms this morning to meet the cast and see exclusive behind-the-scenes clips. The insider event was moderated by the one-and-only Shonda Rhimes, India Amarteifio who plays the young Queen Charlotte, along with Corey Mylchreest (Young King George), Golda Rosheuvel, who plays Queen Charlotte in the original Bridgerton series, Arsema Thomas (Young Agatha Danbury), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Agatha Danbury), and Ruth Gemmell (Lady Violet Bridgerton).

During the live show, Rhimes shared,“Romance stories don’t usually include women of a certain age in this sort of genre and I really wanted to tell the stories of these women and who they are and how they came to be.” She continued by saying that fans can look forward to some really exciting, romantic, and surprising moments that build and fill out the world of Bridgerton in a way that hasn’t been seen before.
